Community

Yapton Free Church is a body of people built around community. We love spending time together, whether it's to worship the Lord, listen to teaching or just go camping together.

There is always something going on around the community: in the Old Church Building, the Village hall, in each others homes and further afield. If you are interested in anything you see on this site, please contact us. Currently we are fundraising for the disabled toilet facilities and kitchen extension at the Old Church Building. You can find out more in the village section of this page.

Parents & Toddlers

Our toddlers group meets on a Wednesday during school term time. This is a time during the week when parents and their toddlers and babies from all around the local area can come together and share in community.

Mums, Dads, Grandparents & carers are all welcome and can have tea and coffee while their little ones play in a safe environment. We also have some craft or cooking activities for the children to take part in. We finish with fruit time and a time available to join in with actions songs and nursery rhymes.

Meeting time

Wednesdays: 10:00am - 12:00 noon

If you have any questions please contact Jo Jeffers.

ALPHA

Is There More To Life?

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith.

Our next Alpha course beings on Wednesday 18th September 7pm at the OCB. Come and join us for a delicious meal and a short taster video introducing the Alpha course. If you are planning on coming please email Jo on admin@yaptonfreechurch.net or call us on 01243 552232. (It just helps us with the catering).

In The Village

We are always looking for ways to support and bless people in the local community. From running Youth Group, Men's Breakfast's, Alpha Courses, Parent and Toddler groups to Holiday Club on the village green. We look to share the love of God with everyone we meet.

Several areas that we have supported in Yapton have been the funding for the hard football and basketball pitch, the play ground and the Skate Park. Blessing the village and loving the people is really at the heart of Yapton Free Church.

Due to extensive use of the Old Church Building we are now in the process of Fundraising for the new kitchen extension and provision of disabled toilet facilities

We are very thankful to the local community, church family and Trusts and Foundations that have contributed to the cost of building works which began mid June 2019
