Yapton Free Church is a body of people built around community. We love spending time together, whether it's to worship the Lord, listen to teaching or just go camping together.
There is always something going on around the community: in the Old Church Building, the Village hall, in each others homes and during the summer months at the Lazy W Marquee, Yapton Lane, Walberton. If you are interested in anything you see on this site, please contact us.
Our toddlers group meets on a Wednesday during school term time. This is a time during the week when parents and their toddlers and babies from all around the local area can come together and share in community. Our toddler group resumes Wednesday 7th September 10am - 12 noon at The Old Church Building.
Mums, Dads, Grandparents & carers are all welcome and can have tea, coffee and biscuits while their little ones play in a safe environment. Each week we have free play and some craft or cooking activities for the children and adults to take part in. We finish with fruit time and an opportunity to join in with actions songs and nursery rhymes. We are run by a committed team of lovely volunteers so do come along and join us and receive a friendly welcome.
Meeting time
Wednesdays: 10:00am - 12:00 noon

Testimony from a past Alpha attendee:
"Is there more to life?? Am I as in control of my own future as I think? Perhaps not.... Doing this Alpha course 15 years ago completely changed my life for the better in every single respect. You have nothing to lose by doing this course but everything to gain including freedom and eternal life.... What is life all about? Come and find out"
We are always looking for ways to support and bless people in the local community. We recently enjoyed a lot of fun at our annual holiday club on Yapton Village Green with a senior citizens afternoon tea, football and burgers on the green, a family breakfast and a movie night in the big tent. From running Youth Group, Men's Breakfast's, Alpha Courses, Parent and Toddler groups to our free Holiday Club on the village green. We look to share the love of God with everyone we meet.
Several areas that we have supported in Yapton have been the funding for the hard football and basketball pitch, the play ground and the Skate Park. Blessing the village and loving the people is really at the heart of Yapton Free Church.
We are very thankful to the local community, church family, Trusts and Foundations who have contributed to seeing the completion of the extension to the Old Church Building kitchen and toilets. The building, which is Grade II listed dating back to 1861, was in need of modernisation to upgrade the kitchen facilities and refurbish the existing toilet block to provide a fully accessible WC for disabled users.
