We desire to worship God the Father, through Jesus Christ the Son, by the power of the Holy Spirit, seeking to know Him better through worship, praise, prayer, and the word.

Luke 10:27: "Love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our strength and with all our mind" and "Love our neighbours as our self."

We recognise that there is only one true Church, consisting of all born again believers, regardless of denomination. We seek to work and pray with other local, national and international Christians and churches.

We are here as a body of believers to fulfil our part in the Great Commission: "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you". Matthew 28:19-20.

As a church, we are praying and preparing for world revival.

We believe that the Bible is crucial: "All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

In order to fulfil our calling, we need the Holy Spirit. "Not my might, nor by power, but by my Spirit says the Lord Almighty." Zechariah 4:6.

Statement of Faith

We believe there is one God who lives forever in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Bible is God's Word to the world, speaking to us with authority and without error.

We believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ the Son, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death for us on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father, and His personal, physical return to rule the earth in power and love.

We believe that all mankind is lost in sin and need to turn from it and trust personally in the Savior, Jesus Christ. All need to be born anew by the Holy Spirit's power into God's family.

We believe the Holy Spirit lives in us as believers and brings love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control into our lives. He gives us spiritual gifts including speaking of tongues, prophesying, and healing among others.

We believe in the resurrection of every person; to eternal life for the believer and eternal judgment for the lost.

Global Family

Yapton Free Church is part of Catch the Fire - a global network of churches and ministries who exist to see the nations filled with churches walking in God’s love and giving it away until the whole world knows God’s glory.

History

In 1994 a small church known as the Toronto Airport vineyard experienced a move of God which exploded into one of immeasurable global impact. This move came to be known as the Toronto blessing, and out of it Catch the Fire was birthed.

Catch the Fire now has churches all over the world which are set apart by their value for the presence of God above all things, seeking radical transformation through the Holy Spirit.

As a global community, Catch the Fire have come to expect the miraculous: signs, wonders, healings, prophetic words, words of knowledge, and glorious manifestations, all in the pursuit of the one who brings true freedom. Jesus Christ.

World Vision

To see the nations filled with churches walking in God's love and giving it away until the whole world knows God's glory.

Mission Statement

To multiply healthy, supernatural churches, ministries and missions in multiple expressions so the world encounters God's transforming presence.
